I know.. I've been busy and when I've had some spare time I've been lazy. But one must enjoy the summer too. Will be moving about a month from now so I want to see all my friends as much as I can.

Enough with the ranting. Here's a portrait I just finished of the hotness from that f-up island. Tried pushing my realism here. It's a step up atleast.

Anyways, Photoshop about 10 hrs.

I guess there's nothing to improve. It's just perfect! Well, maybe you could use a very bright color to lighten up some parts like nose and lips to get a stronger contrast and a more glossy view. But what do I know - I'm not able to make such realistic paintings... :D

I genuinely thank you Gerald. Actually I'm trying to get away from that glossy look. All though it's fun putting down those last highlights, mostly it doesn't add to the realism of the piece if the subject matter is dry, not sweaty or wet.

oh man this is depressing....i need to get back into drawing again badly.
it's stuff like this that make me realise i need to improve my skills so it can help with my jealousy!!
i've been staring at this for ages finding new little parts of this that just add to how real this looks. i bet you're like me and just love putting in those tiny little details.
i could go babbling about this for a long time because it is sooo good!!!
