wow, great work! the effort that you put into this really paid off. I love the tones. and i like the simplicity of it, even though it is filled with intricate details.

The birds flight is dynamic and cute in a way, with the feathers flotting around.
I'm totaly amazed by your game of light and shadows. The picture is dark, but the light comming on the birds attracts my attention and I totaly forget the deepness of the forest.
The background itself is very detailed. I guess you didn't use any brush, did you? Well, if you used brushes I'd love to have them aswell! But no, it's too beautiful to be brushes.
Oh, and the reflection of the light on the water, in the first ground, it adds something more to the picture.
Honestly, this scene fascinates me. Mysterious and beautiful. What a great work!
(and sorry for my poor english ^^'
I found this piece really has the ability to draw the viewer into this secret, almost fantasy like space, where the jaw dropping encounter between the two birds takes place. We watch on in earnest, trying to discern what will happen next between the two rivals or lovers, while appreciating the beauty of the scene in the same moment. Sun-rays through the tree tops highlight the focus and centre of the piece, while other highlights include the reflection of said rays in the water below, as well as the eerie green/blue glow scattered in the background. We get the feeling the birds are not the only characters present in this snapshot in time, but what else there is has been left for dissection by our imaginations.
A very lovely piece indeed, definitely something I would love to have printed and signed by the artist.
Keep up the wonderful work
